GENERAL RULES

  1. Participants’ registration must include their contact numbers.
  2. Participants must be in proper college uniform with identity card.
  3. Candidates should report at the event venue 15 min. before the event scheduled timing. Tardiness may be considered as grounds for disqualification.
  4. Students have to abide by rules and regulations decided and declared for the event concerned. Violation of the same may lead to disqualification.
  5. Team members will not be changed at any level in any case.
  6. In multiple round events, 30% of the maximum teams of the events will be forwarded to the next round of the event.
  7. Use of any kind of electronic gadgets or involvement in unfair means will result into disqualification of the team.
  8. Judges decision will be final and binding. Further if any issue arises, the same could be conveyed to the Abhigyanm organizing team.
  9. The organizing committee reserves the right to change the venue and time, if required.
  10. In case of in-disciplinary activity by any of team members, that team will be disqualified immediately.
  11. In case of other in–disciplinary activity, proctorial action of appropriate severity will be taken against that student.
  12. Volunteers may participate in the event of other than their vertical.
  13. Certificates of participation will be issued to all those students who clear prelims.

EVENT RULES

Mental Marathon
  1. Competition will be divided into two rounds.
  2. Participants are not allowed to carry any study material.
  3. Each student must carry their ID card during their participation.
  4. The absentees’ team will be disqualified.
  5. Students must bring their stationary (pen, pencil) along with them.
  6. Round 1: Spelling Bee + Word-A-Maze

    1. It will be a written elimination round based on the two languages – Hindi and English.
    2. It will be based on various aspects of spelling and knowledge of both the languages, in the different forms of questions.
    3. The event host has the final say in all issues regarding correctness of answers and marking.

    Round 2: Judgement Round

    1. The questions will be asked by the respective judges to all the winners of the first round.
    2. The questions will be judged by the judges themselves accordingly.
    3. These questions mean to test your knowledge about different words with their pronunciation and meaning, idioms, quotes, mathematical intelligence, etc.
Pictory Writing (Pictorial Story Writing)
  1. There will be one final round.
  2. In Final round, 5-10 slides in continuous will be shown and participants have to write a story with message correlated to the slides. Maximum words limit is 500.
  3. Time duration of this round will be 30 minutes.
  4. Participants will have to present same also. Time limit for story presentation will be 3 minutes.
  5. In case of a tie, final assessment will be based on special surprise round.
  6. Sheets will be provided to each team.
  7. Students have to carry their stationary (pen, pencil) along with them.
Youth Parliament
  1. Competition will be divided into two rounds.
  2. Each team should consist of 4-2 members.
  3. Participants are not allowed to carry any study material or pen drive.
  4. Each student must carry their ID card during their participation.
  5. The absentees’ team will be disqualified.
  6. Round 1: Group discussion

    1. Time for preparation is 1 minute.
    2. GD between 2 groups at a time for 7 minutes is to be held.
    3. Groups will be judged on the basis of following:
      • Content (i.e. Points presented by the students on the basis of topic.)
      • Participation of each member of group while GD is conducted.
      • Coordination of team members.
      • Speaking and presentation skills in giving their views.
      • Extra points for initiation and conclusion will be given to the team accordingly.
    4. The best team will be forwarded based on the combined scores.

    Round 2: Debate

    1. Each team will send their best two speakers. One will speak in for and the other will speak in against of the topic and same goes for the opposite team.
      • When team A speaker is speaking in favour of the topic, then the speaker from team B will speak in against of the topic. And vice versa.
    2. The teams will be judged on the basis of the performance given by their speakers.
    3. The speakers will be judged on the basis of following:
      • Content represented in against or favour of the topic.
      • Individual communication skills.
      • Delivery of the ideas and points.
      • Confidence level and voice pitch.
      • ORATOR skills.
      • The way student connects the audience and judges, eye contact, clarity in voice (Additional).
    4. The best speaker amongst all the groups will be given the best ORATOR position and a separate prize also.
Codezilla
  1. Each team should consist of 2 members (max).
  2. Participants are not allowed to carry any study material or pen drive.
  3. Use of electronic media or any unfair practice will lead to disqualification.
  4. The event will mainly focus on the ability of participants to code the problem as quick as they can.
  5. Team who scores maximum in allotted time will be declared as the winner.
  6. Language that will be allowed is C.
  7. In case of tie, decision of judges will be final.
  8. Competition will be divided into two rounds.

Round 1

  1. This round mainly comprises of questions based on C-language (output based on gcc compiler). Only one question paper will be given to a team.

Round 2

  1. Students qualified in I round will code on vi editor and output will be tested using gcc compiler. Only one system will be allotted to a team.
Brain Storm
  1. Only team entries are eligible. A team should consist of two students.
  2. The decision of the judges will be final and will not be subjected to any change.
  3. The participants shall not be allowed to use mobile or other electronic instruments.
  4. Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
  5. Round 1 (Paper Quiz)

    1. The questions shall be in the form of multiple choice questions.
    2. Quiz Test covers following areas
      • Aptitude Questions
      • General Awareness
      • Science & Technology
    3. Time Duration – 20 minutes.

    Round 2 (Pictorial Display)

    1. Different pictures will be displayed to be indentified by the participants.
    2. 1 marks for one correct answer.
    3. Answering time is different for different images.
    4. Team discussion is allowed.

    Round 3 (Video clip / Rapid fire round)

    Round A: Video Clip
    1. All the teams would be asked four video clip questions.
    2. Half clip of a video will be played and questions will be asked on the basis of second half of the video.
    3. Answering time is 30 seconds.
    4. No passing to the next team.
    Round B: Rapid Fire
    1. Each team will be asked 10 questions one after another in the duration of 1 minute.
    2. 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 for the wrong answer.
    3. Answering time for one question will be 6 seconds.
    4. Team with maximum correct answer will be declared as the winner.
Circuitrix
  1. Competition will be divided into two rounds.
  2. Each team should consist of two members.
  3. Participants are not allowed to carry any study material or pen drive.
  4. Each student must carry their ID card during their participation.
  5. The absentees’ team will be disqualified.

Round 1

  • Paper Round (Technical Puzzles & Mystery).
  • Timing: 15 Minutes.
  • The short listed teams, who solve the puzzle in lesser time, will be qualified for the final round.

Round 2

  • Fault Finding and Circuit Implementation.
  • Timing: 30 Minutes.
Documentary
  1. Entry is prohibited without College ID Card.
  2. At least one member of the team should be present during conduction of the event to present their work.
  3. Only one entry per team is permitted.
  4. The documentary should not be merely a collection of still photographs.
  5. The photographs used in the documentary should not be a copyrighted material.
  6. The quality of video and dubbing shall be encouraged.
  7. The documentary should be submitted in a CD/DVD [in any of the format viz.- avi, wmv, mpg, mpg4]. The CD/DVD should be marked with title of film & name of team leader.
  8. Maximum time duration for each documentary is 3 minutes.
  9. The shortlisted participants will be informed.
  10. Participants are solely responsible for the cost of creating their documentary.
  11. The first three standings shall be rewarded.
  12. The documentary should be in proper format and should not create any objection on any religion, person, society or any other thing otherwise the entry will be disqualified.
  13. In case of indisciplinary act by any of the team members, that team will be disqualified immediately.
  14. The organizing Committee reserves the right to change the venue, time and rules, if desired. The decision of Judges will be final and binding.
Extempore

    ROUND 1: Object

    1. Entry is prohibited without College ID Card.
    2. In case of an act of indiscipline the defaulter would be disqualified immediately.
    3. Topic will be assigned on the spot.
    4. Topic would be in the form of an Object (PROP).
    5. Participants will have to take out one Object from the box without looking into it.
    6. Preferred language is English.
    7. If a participant wishes to change the Object, marks will be deducted.
    8. Participants are not allowed to carry any study material.
    9. Top 10 participants will qualify for the next round.
    10. Preparation time is 1 minute.
    11. Speaking time is 2 minute.

    ROUND 2: Chit

    1. Entry is prohibited without College ID Card.
    2. In case of an act of indiscipline the defaulter would be disqualified immediately.
    3. Topic will be assigned on the spot.
    4. Topic would be in the form of chits.
    5. Participants will have to take out one chit from the box without looking into it.
    6. Competition would be between 10 qualified participants.
    7. Preferred language is English.
    8. If a participant wishes to change the Object, marks will be deducted.
    9. Participants are not allowed to carry any study material or paper along them.
    10. Preparation time is 1 minute.
    11. Speaking time is 2 minute.
Insta Click
  1. Only individual entries will be accepted.
  2. Participant should be present during conduction of event to present their work.
  3. Only the recently (on the spot) clicked and original photographs will be accepted.
  4. Participants will solely be responsible for transferring their photographs into pen drives.
  5. The photographs will be displayed on the projector.
  6. The shortlisted participants will be informed.
  7. The first three standings shall be rewarded.
  8. Any such act which falls under the category of indiscipline will lead to immediate disqualification.
  9. The organizing committee reserves the right to change the venue, time and rules, if desired.
  10. The decision of Judges will be final and binding.
LAN Gaming
  1. This is a single round event only.
  2. The team size is of 3 participants.
  3. The game is all about the coordination between the participants.
  4. As the team loses in the middle of the game the team cannot restart the game.
  5. The one left at the end will be the winner team.
Paper Presentation
  1. Team Size: 2 members per team.
  2. Students should register themselves in the respective department by giving their names to their faculty coordinator.
  3. Directly copying from the internet is strongly discouraged and will not be entertained. Originality of the work will be appreciated.
  4. Students will be allowed to present her views on the prescribed title for max. 8 minutes followed by a query section of max. 2 minute.
  5. The presentations accepted will be in MS-Power Point (.ppt/.pptx) format only.
  6. Team has to bring a soft copy of presentation in CD or pen drives and 2 hard copies of paper at the time of presentation.
  7. Decision of the judges and the event heads shall be treated as final and binding on all and cannot be contested.
  8. Violation of any rule can result in disqualification.
  9. The organizers reserve the right to change/update the rules of the contest at any point of time and will do their best to inform to participants of the same. However, it is ultimately the responsibility of the teams to keep themselves updated.
  10. For any clarification or further details the interested candidates can contact the event coordinator.
  11. Your work should be original and any content found copied will be rejected.

Paper Format:

    • Participants should submit the soft copy of the full paper in IEEE format (abstract alone will not be accepted).
    • Paper should be submitted as a MS Word Document (.doc) document.
    • Paper should not exceed 5 pages.
    • Details of the team members: Name, Department, E-mail ID, Contact Number, Institution Name, should be sent along with the Paper.
    • Final camera ready copy of paper should be sent on the email address “abhishek.karwa@jietjodhpur.ac.in” before last submission date.
Treasure Hunt
  1. Each of the team turning up will be given a clue which can lead to different places of the venue. Venue will be JIET SETG campus. The aim of the participants is to find the treasure trove and solve the mystery as soon as possible.
  2. It will be a team event of two days: first day for first round and second day for final round. One team will consist of 4 members.
  3. There will be two rounds. Top teams from round 1 will be qualified for the second round.
  4. The Team who will complete the task before other teams will be selected as the winning team.
  5. In case, if no team is able to find the treasure/solve the mystery, then team with maximum number of clues (with solution) will be selected as winner.
  6. In case of any discrepancies (disclosing or destroying of clues etc.), the team will be disqualified.
  7. There should be a fair play and teams found seeking help from outsiders will be disqualified.
  8. Coordinators will reserve the rights to disqualify any team during the event in case of any discrepancies.
  9. The event will consist of two rounds.

Round 1 (Clash Of Scavengers)

  • Teams have to reach the treasure by way of gathering the clues planted by organizers.
  • All the clues found by participant during the hunt must be submitted to the organizers at the end of the event; only then the team will be eligible for judgment.
  • The teams will get the successive clue from the place that the current one leads to.
  • The treasure hunt should be completed within the time or less than that and the duration for the hunt will be announced on the spot.
  • The 3 teams which complete the 1st round first will be qualifies for the next round.

Round 2 (Crime Busters)

  • Teams will have to solve a murder mystery by gathering the clues that will be planted across the college campus by the organizers.
  • All the clues found by participant during the hunt must be submitted to the organizers at the end of the event; only then the team will be eligible for judgment.
  • The teams will get the successive clue from the place that the current one leads to.
  • The treasure hunt should be completed within the time or less than that and the duration for the hunt will be announced on the spot.
  • The team which solves the mystery first will be declared as the winner.
